SF Wireless Printing Issues

Recently SF wireless users in the main building have been seeing other users' jobs in their print queues. This known issue is related to the recent switch from the "CCA" wireless network to the "CCA_N" wireless network. For more information about this issue, please click here.

Recently SF wireless users in the main building have been seeing other users' jobs in their print queues. This known issue is related to the recent switch from the "CCA" wireless network to the "CCA_N" wireless network. The issue is expected to be resolved in two weeks' time, by Wednesday, February 24th.

In the meantime, please note the following things:

  • All users associated with a specific wireless access point will be able to see all other jobs sent from that WAP at the time their own job is submitted and waits in the queue.
  • This means that other users' jobs will show up when you login to your queue.
  • It also means that if you delete jobs you do not recognize, they may reappear when that user may resubmit their job.
  • This does not mean anyone has "hacked" into your account.
  • No one can print from your account without your password (i.e. you won't be charged for any jobs except the ones you check and approve). In order to see their queue, all users need to login into their own print accounts.
  • During this time it is essential that you double-check the filename of your print job and select only the jobs in the queue that you actually intend to pay for and print.

Please direct any questions or comments to the Helpdesk at 510.594.5010.
