Summer 2014 Academic Technology Improvements

Project Summary: 

Major projects for summer 2014 include improvements in all of our support areas: Hardware refreshes on both San Francisco and Oakland campuses focused on teaching and learning spaces including computer labs, libraries, 2D output centers, AV classrooms and hybrid labs. Academic software offerings will also be updated to include the latest versions of Adobe Creative Cloud and Mac OS X Mavericks. Technology infrastructure improvements include increased internet bandwidth (from 100 to 250Mbps) and updated wireless networks on the San Francisco campus. Additional staff projects include support of the Moodle 1.9 to 2.6 migration, staff computer refreshes for 9 departments, and an improved HelpDesk support model.
