Digital Color Center Guidelines

The Digital Color Center (DCC) is a full service output bureau available to all CCA students, faculty, and staff. The DCC offers high quality, affordable fine art printing on a wide variety of substrates. 

The following guidelines are provided to help all users successfully use the Digital Color Center. 

1. Fill Out a Work Request Form.

Please download and use Adobe Acrobat to fill out the Work Request Form.

***Note: Please do not fill out form directly in web browser, it will not save your information.***

2. Submit your file in one of the following formats:

  • JPG
  • PSD (flattened)
  • TIFF (flattened)
  • PDF (single page only, multi page PDFs will not be accepted)

Recommended File Settings

Color Space: Adobe(RGB) 1998

Maximum Resolution: 360 ppi (pixels per inch)

Minimum Resolution: 180 ppi (pixels per inch)

Submitting files for dye sub aluminum prints

Please download the templates and follow these instructions for file preparation.

File names MUST include your username.

When naming your file you MUST include your username, if you are submitting multiple files please use underscores and number your files.

Example: jdoe if submitting multiple files jdoe_01 , jdoe_02 , jdoe_03 

Submit your file in person

Users can bring their files into the DCC on a USB drive to submit to the technician in person. If choosing to submit your file this way, please have a completed, printed out work request form to submit along with your file.

OR submit your file via email using Google Drive

Users can submit files using Google Drive. A Work Request form MUST be filled out and emailed to Users will have to set the approriate permissions for their file in order to share it with the DCC. Once the appropriate permisions are applied to the file users can invite the DCC to access the file via the sharing settings or they can include the link to share when emailing their Work Request Form.

After uploading your file to Google Drive click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen:

In the next window click on Advanced in the lower right corner:

Now click on Change (here is where users can obtain the share link for their file or invite others to view the file):
