Data Governance is a formal framework and set of processes to propagate good data management practices, and facilitate access to and accurate interpretation of data in support of operational goals and decision making. Data Governance includes:
- A framework for data management, including roles, responsibilities, processes and practices. Core to the data governance framework is a set of Guiding Principles to inform data management at CCA.
- Named Data Stewards, who are responsible for the oversight of specific datasets at CCA, and collaboratively inform and implement data governance.
- Data Dictionary, a new tool that will serve as a central location to document and classify our data. Look for reports and dashboards to start referring to the data dictionary to explain the data contained in the report.
As more resources and information becomes available, the data stewards council will use the Data@CCA website to share this information with the CCA Community.
