The complicated enrollment scripts in our current version of Moodle 2.6 will no longer work and cannot be fixed. In order to implement a standard process for managing enrollments in Moodle, we must upgrade the system. We haven't had this option before and are excited to use a cleaner and more easily mantainable practice for keeping Moodle enrollments in sync with our information systems. Additionally Moodle 3.0 is the latest version of Moodle and is therefore much more up-to-date with bug fixes, stablity, and some new features. Becauase there is urgency, we needed to decide upon this upgrade without much lead time. Moodle 3.0 will be deployed on the morning of Wednesday, May 18th in order to cause the least amount of disruption, hoping to catch the very small window in-between the date the Spring 2016 grades were due and the first day of summer courses.
