CCA offers several printing options in the computer labs, libraries, and the SF plotter room. Most printers are also accessible via laptop. In order to use these printers, you must first activate your CCA print account.
Students
Students who wish to use the digital color printing options available on campus (i.e. the computer labs, libraries, Digital Color Center and Digital Fine Arts Studio) must first activate a CCA email account (see Account Activation Web Form). New students can activate a CCA email account, home directory (lab) account and print account simultaneously via the Account Activation Form. If you're an existing student who already has a CCA email account but not a print account, you can activate a print account via the Director Account Activation Form. This form will activate both a home directory account and a print account simultaneously.
Faculty
Faculty who wish to use the digital color printing options available on campus (i.e. the computer labs, libraries, Digital Color Center and Digital Fine Arts Studio) must first have an active CCA email account. Your email account username and password are mailed directly to you upon being hired by CCA. You can then activate a print account (along with a home directory account simultaneously) via the Director Account Activation Form.
Print Account Policy
Please review the Printing Policy to understand the rules and guidelines for your print account.
All CCA students are given $15 of free printing per semester. This amount is deposited in each student print account a few days after the add/drop deadline of each semester. Once you have used up your semester quota, you can continue printing by adding funds to your account. CCA faculty are eligible to have a print account which offers the same access to the printing resources that students have, at the same prices. Faculty can use a print account for any work/personal purposes. Faculty, however, do not receive a free allotment of funds per semester. When a print account is created for a faculty member, it starts with a zero balance (for more information about adding funds, see Using your Print Account. The College designates a printing budget for each academic program which faculty can use for any course-related printing and copying.
Instructions for printing in the computer labs and libraries is available under Using your Print Account.
Students who pay the $95 output fee will see these funds available in their print account, in addition to the per–semester student quota for free printing, a few days after the add/drop deadline for each semester.
