Helzel Boardroom in San Francisco

Educational Technology Services (ETS) is happy to announce that SF Media Services installed a new telephone conferencing system in the SF Helzel Board Room. The new system is a permanent install that takes advantage of the microphones and speakers that are installed in the room. As a result, when making calls with the new system, your voice can be picked up from the microphones around the table and you can hear the caller clearly from anywhere in the room.

The device is very simple to use. There is a controller in the audio-visual (AV) rack near the East End entrance to the board room. From there, you can dial in phone numbers to make calls, as well as answer incoming calls.

For a quick tutorial on using the new teleconference phone system, please contact Rebekah Eisenberg at (415) 703-9569 (10a-6:30pm, M-F) or reisenberg@cca.edu, or SF Media Services Asst. Manager Nicholas Bruno at (415) 551-9379, or nbruno@cca.edu (8a-4:30p, M-F).

Other Audio/Visual Gear Available in SF Boardroom:

  • Permanently installed HD ceiling projection
  • Smart panel wall-mounted controls at the room's East end
  • Microphones in the table connected to a rack mounted MP3 recorder for audio (lecture/meeting) capture
  • Data/power located at convenient user intervals in the table
  • Direct AV connectivity from both the East and West ends of the table, with inputs for video and audio cables (adjacent to data and power) for laptop-to-projector presentations
  • Speakers in the ceiling for the purpose of playback from a rack mounted DVD/VHS deck or from a laptop
