Computer Labs

lab photoCCA has a broad range of computer labs, lab classrooms, and casual–use computer stations outfitted to serve the College's varied curriculum.

Open Computer Labs
High-end computer labs available to all CCA students and faculty, dedicated for graphic–intensive work.  These labs have between 18–24 workstations, scanners, media–card readers, black–and–white and color laser printers.

Computer Lab Classrooms
The lab classrooms are dedicated for a variety of computer–based classes and can be used as open labs when classes are not being held.  These labs have between 18–20 workstations, LCD projectors, sounds and speaker systems, and various peripherals.

Departmental Computer Labs
The departmental labs typically have fewer workstations and are outfitted to serve a specific department's computing needs.  These labs are generally open to all students, with priority given to students within the specific department.

Casual–Use Computer Stations
Casual–use computer stations are dedicated for word processiong, Internet and email access.  Students are encouraged to use these computers (or their personal computers) for these activities.  Casual–use stations are located in the libraries and student lounge.

  • Lab A (classroom): Irwin hall, 2nd–floor.
  • 4D Lab (departmental): Below Meyer library, across from Media Center.
  • Core Lab @ College Ave. (departmental): College Ave. building.
  • Animation Lab (departmental): Media Arts building, above the Meyer library.
  • Photo Lab (departmental): Photography building, main floor.
  • Textiles Lab (departmental): Textiles dept. on Broadway Ave.

San Francisco Lab Locations

  • Lab A (classroom): Main building, 2nd–floor.
  • Lab B (classroom): Main building, 2nd–floor
  • Lab C (classroom): Main building, 2nd–floor
  • Lab D (open): Main building, 2nd–floor
  • Lab 130 (classroom): Main building, 1st–floor
  • Library Stations (casual use): Main Building, 1st–floor inside the Library
  • Email Stations (casual use): Main Building, 1st–floor in the Beta hallway
  • Graduate Center Lab (open to grad students): Hooper 1, 1st–floor
  • Graduate Design Lab (departmental): Main building, 1st–floor in the Grad Design area
  • Graduate Writing Lab (departmental): Orientations building
